Our Mission
LekSync exists for one simple reason: music is better together. We grew up sharing earbuds with friends on bus rides and rooftops. As phones got smarter, that simple joy got harder — Bluetooth couldn't reach everyone, streaming services siloed us into solo listening, and group sound systems became expensive setups.
So we built LekSync. A free, lightweight Android app that turns any phone into a music broadcaster. No cables. No expensive hardware. No accounts required to start. Just open the app, hit Host, and your friends are tuned in.
What Makes LekSync Different
- Truly synchronized. Powered by precision timestamps and the Opus audio codec, every listener hears the same beat at the same moment — sub-100ms accuracy.
- Hotspot-first. No internet? No problem. LekSync streams directly over your phone's Wi-Fi hotspot, so it works at the beach, on a road trip, or in the middle of nowhere.
- Online when you need it. Want to listen with someone across the country? Our Online Mode uses WebRTC to stream peer-to-peer over the internet. Just share a 10-character room code — friends can join from the LekSync app or directly from their browser at leksync.in/receiver.
- Multiple listeners, one room. Premium hosts can broadcast to up to 5 receivers at once — Android, web, or any mix. Per-receiver controls let you mute, mic-toggle, or disconnect anyone individually.
- Live mic to every receiver. Take live requests, DJ over the music, or just talk — your voice is delivered to each connected listener in real time without interrupting the song.
- More than just music. Stream local videos, broadcast live mic audio for karaoke or DJ sets, and share your library with friends — all from one app.
- Privacy first. In hotspot mode, your music never touches a server. Online mode uses encrypted peer connections — neither your music nor your microphone audio is ever recorded or stored.
